The entire team at Delmar Nursing and Rehabilitation, from Randy and Dawn, to every staff member, are all consummate professionals. This is a fantastic and compassionate place, where every resident is treated like a parent, or a loved one. I am grateful.

In the most recent CMS Report this nursing facility has now received 4 stars, largely due to the efforts of ownership, the Administrator and the DON. Contrary to the review posted below, the DON is most definitely NOT an alcoholic. She is, in fact, one of the finest DONs in the entire Delaware and Maryland region. She is so highly regarded that prior to coming to Delmar she was retained to consult with the Delaware Veterans Home and for HCR Manor Care. I do not work for this facility nor do I have family as residents there. As a person who owns a company that provides services to nursing homes throughout this region, I know the comments in the previous review to be false. This is a facility with commited ownership and dedicated staff. IT is steadily improving.
The administrator is clueless and the DON (director of nursing) is even worse, she was fired from her last job, and is a alcoholic with a rage issue, she can often be found yelling and cursing at CNAs. As for the CNAs, if you cant find them just look in pt.s rooms, thats where they will eat lunch and talk on their cell phones. All the good people left there...nothing but bottom feeders left now. I feel sorry for the loving pt.s there, they deserve more.
The occupancy in now nearly 100%.
