This sounds like a commercial, but seriously, this has been my experience. I can't say enough good things about Pedal Works Cyclery.
Twice we've wanted to come in on the weekend just to find out you're closed. You may want to reconsider your weekend hours.
Pedal Works Cyclery is an excellent bike shop. I’ve been a customer of Pedal Works Cyclery for fifteen months, and in that time I’ve always been treated as if the place were my personal bike shop. Owner and mechanic, Nate Underwood, along with his mechanic and shop hand, Ben Jones, are professional, and yet friendly with a dedication to their customers. Never pushy or intimidating, Nate and his staff always strive to find what their customers are genuinely looking for in bicycles, bike parts, upgrades, equipment, e.c.t. There is truly a sense of commitment and passion you experience about Pedal Works Cyclery. You know these guys are into it, and it shows in the amount of detail and time they put forth.
Good people good service quality products
Prices are a little steep, but overall it's a nice store.
My experience with purchasing parts, mechanical maintenance, minor adjustments, bike part upgrades, and even a new bike frame purchase was always handled in a patient, detailed and timely matter. The switching around of parts from my upgraded, old bike to the new frame was no small feat. The guys took great care in getting everything exactly how I wanted. I was thrilled with the end result of the bike build.
Always on the cusp of the latest technology, Pedal Works Cyclery has recently introduced to the shop the new Guru Fit System; a serious technological advancement in the bike fitting world. A proper bike fit is crucial when it comes to the amount of miles a cyclist puts on their body. This thing is really amazing, and is so advanced all I can say is go look it up on the net. I was fitted for my new bike last week. With Ben at the helm, he took me through the process of assessing what was right for me given certain physical limitations I have regarding my low back and pelvis. This included measurements that had to be a certain way, to adjustments that I might be able to get away with as far as pushing my comfort level. All this was handled in a completely non-intimidating, “what was right for me, was right for me” attitude. Professional, no pressure, no ego. All good.
Some might think that all they want is a bike to ride sometimes with their family, friends, whatever the case may be. Pedal Works Cyclery can assist the casual bike rider as well...from children to adults. The shop has a nice atmosphere, is well stocked, and orderly. It's very approachable for all types of bike riders, all the way up to the obsessive, high mileage competitors.
Nate did a great job with the Guru Fit. The new settings on my bike were perfect. Don’t go for the DIY trial and error bike set up, these guys will dial you in expertly. When I decided to upgrade, they found the best bike for me. Great customer service, a real pleasure to deal with them.
